India’s AI race just leveled up.
Ola Krutrim, the AI division of ride-hailing giant Ola, has launched Kruti—a multilingual, agentic AI assistant capable of executing multi-step real-world tasks through voice or text.
What Kruti Can Do
Kruti is designed to autonomously:
- Book Ola cabs, flights, and trains
- Pay utility bills via UPI
- Place food and grocery orders
- Schedule appointments and send reminders
- Answer hyper-local queries in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and 10 other languages

Built for India
What sets Kruti apart:
- 13-language support, including Hinglish
- On-device speech-to-intent processing for faster response
- Optimized for low-latency execution on budget smartphones
- Embedded in Ola, Ola Electric, and future Krutrim OS devices
AI Agent + Service Graph
Unlike conventional voice assistants, Kruti is agentic—meaning it:
- Understands context across interactions
- Proactively completes tasks without re-prompting
- Interfaces with third-party services via secure APIs
- Continuously adapts based on user behavior
“Kruti is not a chatbot—it’s a doer,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola and Krutrim.

Final Thoughts
With India’s smartphone user base approaching 1 billion, Kruti could become the default interface for digital life—bringing task automation and conversational AI into the hands of every regional language speaker.
